Understanding Single-Tooth Implants

Implant Placement

Your dentist begins by making a small incision in the gum to place a titanium post securely into the jawbone. If multiple teeth are missing, this process is repeated at each implant site.

1.

Healing & Osseointegration

Over the next several months (typically up to six), the implant naturally fuses with the jawbone through a process called osseointegration. This creates a strong, stable base that can support normal chewing forces.

2.

Crown Attachment

Once the implant has fully integrated, a custom crown is attached to complete your tooth replacement—restoring both the look and function of your natural smile.
